The Boxser Diversity Initiative is proud to announce that Renée James Gilmore has joined our Board of Advisors.
A fourth generation Sarasotan, Gilmore is executive producer and host of ABC7’s Empowering Voices, a public affairs program that explores diversity, inclusion, and issues of interest to underrepresented and marginalized communities.
She is also founder of The Saja Group, LLC, a consultancy that helps communities and businesses benefit from inclusion and cultural diversity.
Gilmore’s early career began on air at WSPB radio while attending Riverview High School, followed by ABC7-WWSB after graduating from Florida A&M University. She transitioned from production rooms to board rooms after earning an MBA at Clark Atlanta University. Gilmore returned to ABC7 in 2018, after leading national multibillion-dollar business initiatives in the public and private sectors, where she was recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor for achievements in capacity-building and innovative programming.
A champion for creativity, human rights, women in business, and veterans, Gilmore serves on several boards, contributing her 30 years of experience in business and media.
