We are beyond proud to share the recent achievements of Yoleidy Rosario-Hernandez, the extraordinary Founder and Artistic Director of Mosaic Movements and valued member of BDI’s Advisory Board. Yoleidy was honored with the 2024 Florida LGBTQ+ Leadership Award at the LGBTQ+ Unity Summit. Zir dedication to fostering understanding and unity among all racial, religious, and gender groups in Southwest Florida is truly inspiring.
Yoleidy also had the honor of attending the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE) in Hawai’i, connecting with cultural activists and sparking meaningful collaborations and new ideas. This experience underscores Yoleidy’s and Mosaic Movements’ commitment to bridging divides through art and community engagement.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that Mosaic Movements, in partnership with WSLR+Fogartyville, was awarded a $30,000 grant from Live Music Society. This generous support will fuel Creative Nexus events at Fogartyville, providing empowering platforms for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists.
