The Boxser Diversity Initiative is honored to lead the Sarasota & Manatee Community Remembrance Project, in partnership with the Manasota ASALH, Newtown Alive and the Sarasota African American Cultural Coalition (SAACC) to dedicate a permanent historical memorial marker that honors lynching and racial terror victims in the Sarasota and Manatee area. Historical markers are a compelling tool that can help create a permanent record of racial terror violence and expose an entire community to our shared history of racial injustice.  Join us on Sunday, November 5, 2023 for the Historical markers are a compelling tool that can help create a permanent record of racial terror violence and expose an entire community to our shared history of racial injustice.
