On the Friday before Mother’s Day, HEATHER ROBERTS will discuss the on-going impacts of her son’s incarceration and reentry. Her daily concerns about his well-being will resonate with every parent whose child pays for a lifetime after making one irrevocable mistake. Through humor, insight, and compassion, Heather will discuss the serious nature of her son’s situation and the profound cost that his involvement in the justice system has had for him and their family.
Heather Roberts, BA, a former pre-school teacher with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education, is co-owner of Roberts Hardwood Lumber in Sarasota. In collaboration with her family, Ms. Roberts has spent much of her life working to better and expand the Sarasota community.
